WORKOUT

The problem with being a foodie? You have got to burn it off!

And let’s be real—it is not easy balancing my die-hard love for a warm slice of home-made sourdough lathered with butter, with the drive to attain that handstand (which is still in progress, by the way). Being a foodie and loving fitness often feels like being caught in a never-ending tug of war. But for me it is not about choosing one over the other—it is about finding a balance that works.

I am no size 0 (or 2, or 4… ), but honestly, that is not the point! The point is, I am fitter at 41 than I ever was in my 20s or 30s. My turning point? - The day I realized climbing two flights of stairs left me gasping for air. That was my wake-up call, and I decided something had to change. If I wanted to eat my way around the world, I needed a body that could keep up.

Don’t get me wrong, though—I am not saying you can eat a pizza every night and 'out-burpee' it the next morning. Nope, that is not how it works, and it is definitely not sustainable! What I am saying is that balance is not about restriction or overcompensation—it is about building a lifestyle where you can enjoy the things you love without sacrificing your health. When you can enjoy every bite guilt-free, while still feeling strong and confident in your body, you have found the sweet spot, a.k.a your 'happy size'. Curious what that looks like? Stick around—I will show you!

And guess the best part? It is never too late to start.
